Theramedix GCF is a Gluten & Casein Digestion assistant. A lot of scientists feel that the cause of celiac disease is genetic in nature and that the persons that have this disease do not have the critical enzyme that is needed in the body to break down gluten. This product contains enzymes that help to break down gluten and it is very valuable when you go out to eat and you often are not sure what you are getting served and you can not be certain that traces of gluten have not gotten into your food in the preparation process, or because of errors made by the restaurant staff. Keep these in your purse, keep them in your car, keep them always available. You can take two to four capsules per meal to help you break down the gluten and have less of a reaction. We’ve used this widely and I’ve used this myself. I am sensitive to gluten. This is a great product and I recommend it.

Cause of Gluten Intolerance.
For many individuals who consume wheat or dairy products, the particular proteins gluten and/or casein are difficult to digest and can lead to intestinal inflammation and a number of disorders including Celiac disease, Leaky Gut or other syndromes. Gluten exhibits a unique amino acid sequence which creates inflammation and a flattening of the villi of our intestinal tract. The villi provide the intestine with the ability to absorb nutrients from the foods we eat, thus damaged villi can lead to responses such as malabsorption, nutrient deficiencies or other digestive disorders.

What Can Be Done?
The main treatment for gluten or casein intolerance has been to remove offending foods from a person’s diet, also known as the GFCF (gluten-free, casein-free) diet.
